Like a hungry mantis <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ambushing its prey, the band\u2019s unique style of modern metal music will grab your attention <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">and never let go. Featuring three eight-string guitar players, this band is so heavy and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">down-tuned they make the Richter scale overload with their music. These guys are making <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">metal interesting again, so listen up!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>DESPITE <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">was originally formed in 1998 by guitarist <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Timmy Leng <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">as a side project. The band released a seven song EP entitled \u201cIn Your Despite\u201d in 2009. They quickly followed up with their debut album \u201cClenched\u201d which they released independently in 2010. In 2012 the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">band refocused, and the lineup changed to better suit a more aggressive, technical <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">direction. After two years, the band emerged from their cocoon in early 2014 with the <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">release of \u201cEpic\u201d \u2013 a beautifully brutal EP. Epic was exceptionally well received and <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">garnered critical acclaim from the press and their growing international fan base. Later on <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">the same year, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>DESPITE <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">released \u201cChaos Trigger\u201d a single that catapulted the band to new <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">levels of notoriety, and as a result <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>VH1.com <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">named the band one of \u201cfifteen metal bands <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">you should be listening to\u201d. On a high note, the band followed up in early 2015 with their <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">latest single \u201cPraedonum\u201d, and donated a portion of the sales to The <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>National Center for <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Missing and Exploited Children<\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. Shortly thereafter Despite caught the attention of <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri-Bold;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><b>Eclipse Records <\/b><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">(Mushroomhead, Bobaflex, A Breach of Silence), and re-entered the studio to record new material for the label\u2019s consideration.
