Written and refined over the course of a year, the band recorded <strong>Discreet Enemy<\/strong> over a 60 day marathon in the band\u2019s own studio, Covington, GA\u2019s The Audiovault, with additional recording by Mike Froedge (Black Label Society\/Double Drive\/Bloodsimple) at Open Sky Studio. Discreet Enemy was mixed by acclaimed producer\/mixer Andy Reilly (The Cult\/Iron Maiden\/Bon Jovi\/The Police) and mastered by Matt Dalton (Chiodos\/Hed Pe\/Attila\/Tantric) at 37 Studios.<\/p>\n<p>The band has already received glowing feedback from musical contemporaries like guitarist <strong>Nick Perri<\/strong> (<em>Silvertide\/Shinedown\/Perry Farrell\u2019s Satellite Party\/Sinai<\/em>) AND <em>Black Stone Cherry<\/em> guitarist <strong>Ben Wells<\/strong>, both of whom have publicly sang the praises of tracks from <strong>Discreet Enemy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cTalk about a band I can\u2019t wait to hear more from! This incarnation is what <strong>POYNTE<\/strong> has needed to be to take the band to the next level.<\/p>\n<p>Vocalist <strong>Kenny Hathorne\u2019s<\/strong> voice and vocal melodies have been the key to furthering the band\u2019s song writing. Surviving a scissor lift accident, where he ended up with a titanium jaw replacement, <strong>Kenny<\/strong> leaves no doubt that he is destined for something great!<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist <strong>Matt Bryant<\/strong> is one of the founding members of the band. <strong>Matt<\/strong> is a seasoned musician that has become a recognizable figure in the <em>Atlanta<\/em> music scene. He has been a driving force behind the group since the beginning.<\/p>\n<p>Guitarist <strong>Brett Davis<\/strong> joined <strong>POYNTE<\/strong> nearly two years ago as a bass player. The band knew he played the guitar, but had no idea how much depth and skill he would bring to the band. His transition to guitarist was flawless and his backing vocals, combined with his screaming abilities, have proven to be a key element in the evolution of the band\u2019s sound.<\/p>\n<p>The final element, and possibly the most crucial, was the addition of drummer <strong>Josh Fulcher<\/strong> and bassist <strong>Jake O\u2019Donnell<\/strong> in August 2013. <strong>Josh<\/strong>, coupled with bassist <strong>Jake O\u2019Donnell\u2019s<\/strong> energy and his 90\u2019s Alternative background, have solidified the sound that <strong>POYNTE<\/strong> have long searched for.<\/p>\n<p>While previous <strong>POYNTE<\/strong> lineups have had some success, the group senses their best days are yet to come.
